Last year we organised multiple fundraising events working alongside The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity. This year is no different and The Donna Louise has already contacted us with a list of ‘challenges’ that our staff can take part in with the hope of raising even more money than last year.
The list of challenges includes things such as:
- The Manchester Half Marathon
- Jingle Bell Jump
- Tough Guy – The Original
- Kilimanjaro Trek
- Paris Half Marathon
- Superhero Skydives
- Climb Mount Snowdon
- 5km Family Fun Run
- And Many More
Here at Connect, we are not ones to back down from a challenge! Our staff have all agreed to climb mount Snowdon in March, the idea is that our friends and families will sponsor us and we will collect donations leading up to the event. The gruelling walk up and down the mountain can take anywhere from 5-7 hours and the weather conditions can be quite treacherous depending on what route our climbers take.
Our very own Matthew Handy will also be taking part in another challenge from the list… The Superhero Skydive. This challenge isn’t for the feint hearted and not all our staff was as keen as Matt to take part in this one. The challenge is what it says on the tin, jumping out of a plane from a very high altitude. Once again we will be trying to get donations and make some money for The Donna Louise. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all our events coming up in the near future.
