Connect are participating in Jean for Genes again after the success of last years appeal. So staff members will be rocking that 90’s trend of denim jeans today to help raise money for children affected by a Genetic Disorder.

In the UK it is estimated that 1 in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder and therefore 30,000 babies and children are newly diagnosed each year. The money that Connect raise will be donated to this amazing charity whose aim is to improve the lives of children affected by a genetic disorder.

Here is just some of the work they do:

  • We run an annual grant programme that is open to all UK charities and patient groups caring for children with genetic disorders.

  • We develop resources for schools to make pupils more aware and empathetic of the difficult lives that children with genetic disorders lead.

  • We fund the work of Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity dedicated to supporting families affected by genetic disorders.

For more information, view the Genetic Disorders UK website and learn about how you can help to support this worthy cause.
