Connect recently took part in the CII 5-a-side football tournament in aid of the Insurance Charities. The Insurance Charities was established in London in 1902 as The Insurance Clerks Orphanage and now provide help and support those working in the insurance sector in the UK and Ireland. Their mission is to provide help and assistance to insurance and insurance-related employees and their families.
Connect’s 5 a side team included:
- Adam (Team Captain)
- Matt
- George
- Sam
- Ryan
- Harry
The team played worse than Port Vale on a rainy night in Stoke very well but unfortunately didn’t manage to get past the group stages but everyone had a good night and raised money for this amazing charity by all teams that took part.
Connect have also taken part in a dress down today by wearing football tops, most of them wearing the Stoke City shirt and we do have a Juventus supporter. It is all in aid of “Cancer Has No Colours”. In support of the Bradley Lowery Foundation which has stated:
“Money previously raised for Bradley’s treatment will now be transferred into the Bradley Lowery Foundation, to help us Support families with their own fund raising campaigns. We will help Bradley’s legacy live on by working tirelessly to support and motivate families, with all aspects of running a successful campaign. We hope everyone who has supported us previously will carry on showing your support, for future families”
Our staff are all back in office feeling refreshed after the football game even if there are a few pulled muscles and aches and pains we are all ready to help you sort your insurance. So fill out one of our quote forms or call us on 01782 280280
